WCAG explained

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) are the international standard for digital accessibility. These guidelines consist of 86 success criteria that give organisations concrete tools to make their digital services accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. The WCAG guidelines are an essential part of the European Accessibility Act (EAA), the European legislation mandating digital accessibility. These WCAG guidelines form the foundation of all our research, training and other services.

The four principles of WCAG

WCAG is based on four principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust. These principles form the basis for all our accessibility research.
