Accessibility statement
focusring is a digital accessibility agency, so our own website has to hold up to the standard we ask of our clients. This statement follows the structure the W3C recommends for accessibility statements: scope, conformance status, how we evaluated, what we know about remaining issues, and how to reach us.
As a microenterprise, focusring falls outside the scope of the European Accessibility Act. We publish this statement voluntarily.
Scope
This statement applies to the website focusring.io, in English and Dutch, including the blog, the focustrap podcast pages, the legal pages and the contact form.
Podcast audio and video are hosted by third parties (YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts and Buzzsprout) and are covered by their own accessibility statements. Every episode page carries a full transcript as the alternative we control.
When you order an audit, the payment step runs on the hosted checkout of our payment provider Mollie. That page is third-party content and falls outside this statement; Mollie is responsible for its accessibility. If you cannot complete a payment there, email hello@focusring.io and we will send you an alternative way to pay.
Conformance status
focusring.io is fully conformant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 (opens in a new tab) at level AA. Fully conformant means that the content meets all level A and level AA success criteria of the standard without exceptions.
The law cites WCAG 2.1 AA today, through EN 301 549 V3.2.1, which both the European Accessibility Act and the Dutch Besluit digitale toegankelijkheid overheid refer to; the version of EN 301 549 that moves to WCAG 2.2 (V4.1.1) was published in September 2026 and will follow. WCAG 2.2 builds on 2.1, so conformance with 2.2 covers both.
Evaluation method
The focusring team performed an internal audit of focusring.io against WCAG 2.2 level AA. Every finding from that audit was resolved, and the site was re-evaluated on 25 September 2026 through a self-evaluation by the focusring team. The evaluation combined:
- manual checks of keyboard operation, focus visibility, heading structure, landmarks, link and button names, form labels and error messages;
- checks of colour contrast, text resizing and reflow at 400% zoom, and reduced-motion preferences;
- screen reader checks of representative pages;
- automated checks during development.
Known issues
We are not aware of any accessibility issues on focusring.io. If you find one, please tell us using the details below.
Embedded third-party media players on podcast pages are provided by the platforms named above and fall outside this claim. If a player is not usable for you, the transcript on the same page contains the full conversation.
Feedback and contact
If you run into a barrier on focusring.io, or if you have a question about this statement, please tell us:

We aim to respond within two working days and to fix reported barriers as quickly as we can. Reports of barriers on this site are handled by the same people who do our audits.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your report, you can contact the Netherlands Institute for Human Rights (opens in a new tab), which handles complaints about unequal treatment on the grounds of disability in the Netherlands.
Technical information
